When creating the configuration for the site, Fasterize creates a DNS record pointing to your server. If you change the IP address of your server, you must create a new DNS record pointing to the new location.

DNS record changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate. You can use the www.whatsmydns.net tool to check the status of your DNS records around the world.

When the DNS record is propagated, you can change the original location in the Fasterize console:

  • Go to the Fasterize admin console of the website
  • Click on 'Configuration' then 'Domains'. You will see this page:

  • Replace the 'origin' field with the new DNS record:

  • Click on 'Save'

The change is immediate and the platform will use the new address of the origin.
