Domain application allows you to configure where and how Fasterize communicates with your origin (your website servers).
Here are the main steps and options for configuring your domain.
Origin
The origin designates the servers on which Fasterize will fetch the content of your site. This configuration must not point to Fasterize domains or CNAMEs but to your own servers or your CDN if Fasterize is configured to be in front.
You can change this configuration at any time:
Address
This is address configured for your origin, which can be a CNAME or an IP address.
Advanced
Protocol
Fasterize servers can use either HTTP or HTTPS (recommended) to communicate with your origin.
You have three options:
- Match the protocol used by the browser (Match viewer)
- Force the use of HTTP only
- Force HTTPS only
Check Certificate
Fasterize can check the validity of the certificate used on the origin servers, including checking validity dates.
This option is useful for ensuring a secure and reliable connection. You can choose to :
- Check the validity of certificates installed on the origin
- Do not check validity (useful for self-signed certificates)
Force TLS 1.1
In some cases, the origin may not accept a higher version of the TLS protocol.
Fasterize can limit the TLS protocol version to 1.1 when connecting to your origin.
Activate this option if your origin only supports TLS 1.1.
Secondary domain
Please contact Fasterize support to use this option.
